About EPRG
Why are we called the Executive Policy Research Group (EPRG)?
The group's goal is to create knowledge about policy implementation by government executives, broadly construed. Knowledge generation is pedantic way of saying that we find things out people once didn't know.
From project to project, the executives will vary—they might be police officers, entire government agencies at the city, state, or federal level, or even the President of the United States. The policies will vary, too, touching controversial topics like police militarization and abortion, or not-so-controversial topics like contracting reform. Implementation means, simply, the act of carrying out a policy. We might study how individuals carried out a policy, whether they complied with its mandates, or whether the policy achieved some measurable outcome.
